There are many types of ovens that can be used to cook a variety of different foods. I will highlight the different types for you below and you can decide for yourself which would suit your needs the best.

Microwave Ovens

Microwave ovens have probably been one of the most revolutionary cooking inventions of our fast paced generation of today. Microwaves heat and cook food or drinks in a matter of minutes using microwave radiation. The food is cooked by heating the moisture and other molecules within the food. Not every type of food can be cooked with a microwave, but it is quick to get the job done on many foods that we eat today.

Steam Oven

Unlike microwaves, steam ovens can cook just about any type of food. It used to be that vegetables were one of the few foods cooked with steam. Today almost everything is used and cooked with a steam oven.

They are about the same size as a microwave oven and can be installed or put on a counter top. As steam ovens become more popular they should become more affordable with the increasing demand. I highly recommend using a steam oven if you are looking. You can cook a chicken in in about 20 minutes as instead of 2 hours that a conventional oven takes.

Convection Ovens

Convection ovens work by circulating hot air with fans to cook the top and the bottom of food simultaneously. They are more expensive and larger than conventional ovens, but they cook food about 25 percent faster than a conventional oven.

Convection ovens often produce more flavorful results by keeping the juices inside the food. I highly recommend convection ovens if you love to cook. The results are so good that you will likely cook more often.
